August 29, 2023 - A landmark $6B+ settlement was secured in the 3M earplug litigation for U.S. servicemembers and veterans. Read the announcement here.

For more than a decade, 3M knowingly marketed, manufactured and sold dangerously defective earplugs to the U.S. Military and civilians. These actions resulted in servicemembers unknowingly using defective earplugs over the course of their service to our country, both in training and active combat. Today, tens of thousands of these servicemembers who relied upon 3M earplugs for protection are experiencing hearing loss, tinnitus (i.e. ringing in the ears), and the many debilitating effects that come along with those disabilities.

This damage was the result of a deliberate scheme by 3M that put the company’s profits ahead of the well-being of our servicemembers. This lawsuit is about holding 3M accountable and ensuring that those harmed receive the care and support they deserve.
